Subs When Team Selections Are Released

Just wondering if anyone knows how the subs will be handled, I haven't seen a proper team selection (just lists of the squad) in the pre-season, and thinking about it raised a few questions:

* Will Friday and Saturday teams have their 21 players + clearly designated sub announced on Friday arvo before lockout?

* Friday and Saturday teams announce their 22 players and choose the sub only prior to the game?

* Can there be late swaps for the sub?

* Can a player from outside the emergencies/extended bench be brought in as sub?

* Will we be totally in the dark all season as to the sub for Sunday teams which aren't finalised prior to lockout as is the case now for the extended bench?

* How will the zero be handled if a sub never takes the field?

I remember reading that the sub will be named at least 30 mins before the game. As a result we won't know who will be the subs in the later games prior to the lockout. I'm figuring that the sub has to be one of the players listed on the interchange though.

Cheers dlanod, sounds like we'll be lucky to know the sub for the Friday game before lockout, let alone the rest.

Gonna make for an interesting season.
