One must now stand back and ask what was the "GOAL" of the FFC for 2004. As a member I am not sure. Is it winning games of football? Is it building the coffers? From the brevado the Coach spreads pre game to the boring excusses he uses week in week out I believe it to be the latter. Freo have been under pressure from the WAFC to show a return, and 2003 and 2004 have and will be good years. The hype has worked and the people are flocking, but for how long? The bucks will only keep rolling in as long as there is success and last nights games has put that on hold for 2004. Everyone except the coach saw a team that was lacking in skill, endevour and heart and has lived up to the ridicule it should have been fighting off. 2004 has been a year of disappointment that can only be rectified by 2005. Cuddley might to be a nice bloke but nice blokes don't always make great coaches. I fear the marshmellow label Freo has been tagged with is appropriated at this time.

Good post - there is no doubt that Connelly spends a huge amount of time promoting the club (where he should be getting stuck into the players).

Our main concern is that we develop Port Power disease whenever there is a big match to be won.

Let's hope we can now win away vs Adelaide and Carlton.

hos

We have a coach that served his apprenticeship under Ken Judge and Peter Schwab. Dare I say any more !!
