Another bloody fantastic win! If anything, these wins against countries with that kind of standing (France, Brazil), will at least give us some much needed creditability in the soccer community -- which helps in securing better opposition for friendlies, development, persuading FIFA to give Oceania a spot at the World Cup ... etc... etc.. so don't knock it just because Brazil and France were under strength -- Like Ms Storm said- We had 10 players of our best starting 11 out too!

Anyway, rapt to hear about that kind of result..... again.

I honestly think with the best team available Australia has a very good national side. If we could only qualify for a World Cup we'd be a major surprise packet. Not many so called third world football nations have a squad with such stars as Viduka, Kewell, Fox, Emerton and Okon. I think we'd beat about 3/4 of the teams in Europe anytime including 'respected' teams such as Scotland, Austria, Greece, Norway etc.

Terry Venables said that if we had of qualified for the last one he had a feeling that we could have progressed into the last stages.
If we meet Colombia, they are fifth in Sth America right now, I fear we won't make it yet again. Bring on Oceania's automatic qualification, mind you, I bet we lose to the Kiwis!!
