Probably the most fun I've had playing a game since Super Mario World on the SNES.

I bought it cheap for $40 when I went down to JB to buy Galaxy at the same time, I've played about 10 hours of Paper and about 2 hours of Galaxy.

Takes a while to get into but once you're there I can't strongly recommend this game enough.

I played through the old Paper Mario, enjoyed it a lot.

Mario Galaxy has never impressed me.

finally got around to playing a substantial portion of the game......been on my backlog for months due to ebil work.

good points

1) some of the prettiest graphics you'll see on the Wii. Yes cel-shading is low tech but the art design is absolutely brilliant

2)very intuitive controls and level design: switching from 2d to 3d and from classic control to pointer to search for hidden areas is innovative and a joy to play.

bad point

rpg-lite: it has alot of rpg elements like leveling up and items but they seem to be the ugly little brother of the game that are left hidden in the background while its pretty platforming brother goes out to shine. Abit of an identity crisis really. I wished that Intelligent systems had really embraced the traditional rpg genre because there is absolutely nothing of that kind on the Wii. :/

In the end there is really no excuse not to get it if you own the Wii atm because of the few good third party games.

It's also quite enjoyable to watch someone else play it after knowing how to get through a particular section - good to hang shit when something that seemed easy takes 15 mins plus! :D
