how is effective/innefective disposals judged??

cos sometimes you can kick a beautiful drop punt right onto your teammates chest, then he drops it and the oppotsiton take it away, or you can kick an ab____e shocker of the side of ur boot but have it miraculously land in ur teammates arms and then they can kick a goal. etc. not sure how it would work.

I think if they drop it it's still effective because it got to them? Not sure.

Certain that if it's a horrible kick but hits a teammate then it's effective though.

This is still the case for 2010?

Example:
If you kick a goal - do you get 8 points for the goal, and 4 points for the effective kick?
....and if you take a contested mark before kicking it, you get:

6 + 4 + 8? = 18 points?

Mark and goal is usually +11 I think, so no points for the kick.

It a base rate, but is still weighted to it's overall importance on the game.

ie- Junk time goals with a 50 point lead are worth less...
