Superstitions?

When I play cricket I go have a look at the pitch as soon as I get to the ground, whether we're batting or bowling. I did the same when I played footy, always had a kick on the ground an hour or two before the match.

I'm a keeper/bat too, and always put my right pad on first (when batting that is - not for keeping, have had to switch over quickly between innings too many times to keep a superstition!). Have had the odd pair of special jocks too and I never wear zinc either - not that i did a great deal but on a couple of occasions it just didn't work out well!

I like Cam Bruce's superstition of being one of the last through the banner and never touching it either.

When I play footy I only like to mark the footy once and handball it once. Then no more touching it before the game starts.

If I kick it and it stuffs up my confidence is gone for the day.

Do you have any, sport related or otherwise?
did this all Queens Birthday, din't quite work out so now I don't bother, it was hard work trying to look normal as well:D

Sivart that is a pretty F**ked superstition.

I agree.
When I starting doing it I was in a rich vein of form and then when I started warming up with the balls and few stuffed kicks here and there and then when the match started I would struggle.

I’ve become obsessive about not littering. I mean, that’s a good thing obviously but it’s reached a point where I will carry a bottle for miles looking for a recycling bin because if I put it in a regular bin then Melbourne will lose.

If I walk down the street I like to have my left foot be first out of the house then when I come home my right foot is first in the house. I do much the same with staircases and escalators

Never predict a Melbourne win.
Hey Crimson Azure . Question for you what with being such a long-serving BF type.

If I like someone’s post, and they get a reaction alert, then I go back and change the like to a wow or something, do they get another reaction alert?

Or maybe Scythe94 might know?

Just gave this post 10 reactions for science.

Interesting. The Toump method of just changing the reaction type doesn’t create a new reaction alert, but unliking then reacting again does get an alert.
Actually I think I did remove some likes first, but I did it RAPID FIRE style so maybe that was the problem.

3 Sad Reacts dropped in a row! Lemme know how you go!

See above.

If you are watching on TV and your team is playing well, you are the good omen and you must continue to watch. Switching off = team going bad.

If you are watching on TV and your team is playing bad, you are the problem and should switch off so the team plays well.

The above does not apply when watching games at the ground. That would just be silly.

This can also operate in reverse. If you aren't watching and your team is going well. DO NOT TURN ON THE TV.
