I was just wondering if any of you guys have been at the tab and put a bet on a match that ths tab have put up by mistake. It's happened twice.for me. Once I was waiting to put a bet on then NBA at half time when they put up a bet of over 121.5 for a game that was already 120. Then yesterday they put up a second qrt line that had already been played. Both were up for about 20sec before they took them off. When I went to cash it they only refunded the bet and didn't pay it out..... Reckon they just should pay it out.... I was pretty peed off at the time...... Wondering if anyone else has done this.

I think people should have to pass a basic intelligence test before being allowed to post on these boards.

Pretty ridiculous responses so far IMO. If you've never come across the situation before its hardly unreasonable to hope the TAB might be obliged to pay out on their mistakes.

OP as you've probably realised from the responses it's completely standard for bookies/tab to not pay out on obvious mistakes like a market on an event that's already happened.

TAB Sportsbet
Rule 4.3
The beting operator shall not accept Bets after Conclusion of an event and any Bets so made shall be void and shall be refunded by the Betting operator.

Question. If you bet on the losing team after an event happened (say you didn't know the result), would TAB refund your bet?

Let's just say I had no idea what the scores were and did the wrong bet then do you think they would pay out on all the beg types. I looked at the results page and they only had the winning bets so it would be interesting to know if they payed out all the losing bets as well...sorry for not being as smart as a lot of Bigfooty posters.

Seriously?

Don't quite get your point. I've put a bet on a coin toss result before and been paid out. The only reason I placed the bet was because I had just seen the coin toss and the market was set to close in 5mins. So of course I made the bet. And was paid out.

What is your point?

Has anyone had any luck getting a refund on First Goalscorer for a player who is subsequently listed as the sub?

You just reminded me - I was on Jetta on Thursday night against the Saints and he was the sub!
It's $20 so surely I would get that back but looking at my account I haven't
I know with soccer I always get refunded if the player was a sub when the 1st goal was scored

I'm with Sportingbet by the way - I'll email them now!

you don't get it back, at least not by default

For the people that want the bet refunded, if there is an early injury and the sub comes on and kicks first goal how loud will you cry if you don't get paid?

Best to just look at the teams before the game and your bet

As for wanting to be paid when you place a bet on an event with a result.....lol

Sportsbet refunded mine.

I bet on a WAFL game not knowing it had been played on a Fri night.
