ELTON LOOKS LIKE HE HAS BUILT UP. RECKON HE WILL END UP BEING A MONSTER!!! Stoked to see him kicking goals and taking big grabs.

THEN NEK MINUTE

MCBEAN kicks 4....not bad to have a couple of 200cm forwards playing great footy in the VFL along Astbury to come back.

Did i mention the 200cm giant down the other end who can take a grab and kicks the ball 70m.

Oh and that sh!t truck Edwards kicking 4...mehhhh

MrBean is one player I'd like to keep an eye on. He's probably too light to play in the seniors but once he puts on muscle and hopefully keeps his effectiveness below the knees and in the air, I think he could turn out to be an absolute steal from last years draft.

lets just wait and see. i know i should revel in it but, i feel uneasy about all this mcbean hoopla.

reminds me of the way we talk up young australian tennis players every january...

Is he likely to develop into a full time ruck or a forward/ruck like Vickery? Certainly seems tall enough for a full time ruck but if he's going to be kicking bags of goals...

Elton did look very good, a few more weeks like that and he'd be pushing for senior selection, looks now to have the size to compete at AFL level and goal kicking looked good too.

McBean I'm not sure if he has the frame to be a ruck. These days you really need to be 100kg+ to be a full time ruck, I don't know if he will fill out to that, it will be a number of years anyway if he does. As a CHF/CHB though definetely could be an option as a big mobile player, who can relieve in the ruck. Still very much a project player and don't expect him to debut this year but good signs early.

Is there now no limit on the number of afl players in a vfl senior team? Saw 18 Richmond players lining up last week but I was under the impression there was a limit of about 12?

There's no limit. It all depends on the agreement you have with your aligned club.
