Carlton is irrelevant. Brisbane are the ultimate rivals to Collingwood. Hope Voss gets burnt while they're down there. What an arrogant bloody team that was.

Depends on your point of view 1970 still haunts us older pies supporters and that's nothing compared to the Harmes slap on from the boundary a few years later!
Actually Carlton and Collingwood weren't always deadly enemies, both teams were on the same amount of flags and fairly friendly in a tribal sort of way up until 1927/30.

While we sit Pretty at top of the Ladder we seen the Brisbane Lions Dead Last.

The team that beat us in the 2002 and 2003 GF is down the bottom now and we are at the top.

Your Thoughts?

Brisbane had a bigger salary cap than any other team in the competition back when they won all those premierships which was very unfair IMO. We could have beaten them in 2002/2003 if it wasn't for the Brisbane having salary cap assistance.

I am stoked they are on the bottom. Absolutely hate Brisbane with a passion due to those grand final losses. Hope they win the wooden spoon this year which they probably won't due to the Gold Coast.

Brisbane were given huge incentives. It was not a fair competition then.

Same thing happened to the Melbourne Storm except the Melbourne Storm got their premierships taken away.

I rekon its stupid to hate a team for beating us ain GFs. I hate them for their arrogent players that were sending threating texts to a few of our players after the GF in 2003, I hate them becuase they expected to win everyweek, they were a much more arrogent team then the Cats of this era and also getting help from the AFL. Cant stand them and watching them lose last night game me a reall good smile.

Brisbane were allowed to cannibalise another club as well as having big salary cap concessions. It's not surprising that when the big benefits of those disappear they've plunged, now they have to learn how to be successful without having a huge leg up over the rest of the competition, will probably take another 5 years for them to adjust.

Let's not forget the Liars still have priority to QLD kids not drafted in the main draft but before the rookie draft, I think that's correct.

Not a major advantage but still an advantage. Claye Beams as an example.
