Neagle out is disappointing but which tall was going to go out instead?

McPhee? No, too valuable and has the ability to apply a lot more defensive pressure if he goes forward.

Hooker? Nah, we need him in the ruck.

Lucas? Nope, the amount of disrespect that would show since he just played one of his best games of the last 12-18 months is way too much.

Fletch, Pears, Lloyd and Ryder are all self-explanatory.

Very happy with that, Zaharakis needs time off and neagle fitness great ins

Probably the most experienced Team we have fielded this year so we should put in a good show. Melbourne have got 5 aboriginals playing which will be exciting. Hopefully we'll be switched on from the first bounce.

GREAT INS! Probably pretty close to the best team we will put on the park this year.
Glad they are giving Zaharakis a rest. Disappointed for Neagle as he is the future.. But also really excited to see Hooker at CHF. Feels fantastic to start showing signs of depth for the first time in a long time! Let's SMASH them and get our confidence high coming into that Carlton/Collingwood fortnight!! Lloydy to kick 7 and take the mark of the year again!
Oh, and Fingers Crossed for no injuries this week.

Neagle shouldnt be out, how bloody stupid is that. We have got to be ready when lloydy is done and Neagle is his replacement. Needs as many games as he can get.

Just wondering, How many goal has Neagle kicked this year??

There were too many talls in the side, it was unfortunate of course, but it had to be done.
(As stated above).

I think he's kicked 2 bags of 3 goals, and like 1 goal each in another few

So who goes out instead?

9 goals for the season.

Perhaps you missed his last game ? 3 touches and 0 goals is simply not EFC standard. Its not his accuracy, ability, marking or kicking that keeps him out this week - his body condition is a liability at this stage.

It was the right call to drop him this week.

I'm a little disappointed that Neagle is out but you can understand why the MC have chosen to omit him. Hopefully this time next week he will be in better condition having had 3 weeks without a game and some decent training. I don't see this as a long term omission.

The best thing about our side this week is that it is the first time since ANZAC Day that we can go in with a settled ruck and backline structure. With Fletcher back it means Hooker can FINALLY play as the back up ruckman primarily and show the competition how damaging he can be around the ground. Just watch people he could do some serious damage.

One other thing worth noting is that Skipworth has been named to start at HF whilst Monfries on the bench....a sign of the current pecking order perhaps?

Some MASSIVE outs for Melbourne this week. No excuses. Melbourne will come out fired up but we should be able to run away with it in the second half if we are half as good as we believe.

Supposing Hurley becomes match fit in coming weeks, what will happen to him? Knights obviously wants to get games into him and the players put him in the original best 22 this year. But, with Pears doing pretty well and taking the best (or there abouts) forward each week and Hooker basically our only potential second ruckman, how is he going to get a game? Those two didn't play in his only game in Round 1. Will Hurls basically just have to sit out the year or could they throw Fletcher/Pears forward occasionally? I understand he's good enough, but personnel wise it's hard to drop Pears and Hooker.

I think Warnock is their CHB/FB Paul Johnson is their second ruckman.

I imagine that Pears will take the best forward, Hurley the second tall, Hooker to play off the bench giving Ryder rests in the ruck.
