For me Tekken Tag Tournament was where i fell out of love with the series, Soul Calibur was out at the same time and it was the far superior fighter. Dead or Alive 3 came along, then Soul Calibur 2 and by then I'd moved on from Tekken.

Tekken 2 & 3 were god tier for me as a teenager though, was putting online CoD like hours into them.

Hell yes. While I do love Mortal Kombat, Tekken is my favourite fighting series of all time. Dat smoothness.

Super keen for this. Love Tekken above all other fighting games (hopefully releases this year!).

Still hanking out for Tekken v Street Fighter though.

Not a big Mortal Kombat fan (give me another Injustice I say!) but will still get it. Wonder when we will see Soul Calibur, Dead or Alive, Virtua Fighter and a few others make their debuts on the next gen consoles?

Tekken 3 was my first 'favourite fighter' to the point where not having a button for each limb was unnatural as hell until the PS2 era.

But Tekken Tag Tournament 2 brought me back into the fray after skipping Tekken 6. It was pretty brilliant with mates so I'm looking forward to this.

While my passion for Tekken isn't as strong as it used to be (T1 and T2 were awesome on the playstation and TTT on ps2 brought me back to the series after being disenchanted with Tekken 3), i still check them out from time to time. I didn't really appreciate Tekken 4 and 6, but i loved Tekken 5.

Having just bought the Namco Fighter Bundle (Tekken Tag Tournament 2 + Soul Calibur V) recently and playing Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for the first time tonight, I have to say it's an improvement from Tekken 6 and a step in the right direction. If Tekken 7 can be more like that then I'll get it. Still haven't played Soul Calibur V yet, and it will be my first time playing a Soul Calibur game.

Kinda wish they'd put a bit more effort into the story line and get more creative with new characters. Hope they've really tightened all the screws with this one.

But yeah, will get.

I loved Tekken 1 and 2, thought the third was ok but not quite as addictive Tekken 2 was. I couldn't really get into Tekken 4, loved Tekken 5.... was indifferent to Tekken 6 (even though I purchased it on both 360 and ps3). Both Tekken Tag Tournaments were amazing.

Tekken 7 Fated Retribution announced, major update for Tekken 7: Akuma featured as not only a playable character but also as part of the Tekken canon. Fated Retribution has new characters, new outfits, and updated graphics.

This is for the arcade version currently, just incase I've confused anyone.

Very interesting seeing Akuma on the roster - I wonder if Tekken x Street Fighter isn't far off in that case?
