Who's the worst?

Mine and forever will be G Wilkinson.

How long has this man been around making boring comments?

This afternoon:-

"The number one world champ with the star studded shoulder will have to stand up and salute."

What the?

They are worse than footy commentators.

We can see what happens but they have to fill the silence with ridiculous comments.

Another from Wilkonson this arvo:

"No second chances." (Williams match)

Thats right, its a knockout event....

Sandy Roberts has always amazed me that he has been a sports commentator for such a long period of time as he bores the absolute crap out of me.
He seems to repeat himself often during commentary probably because he runs out of things to say.
I suspect channel 7 have kept him on as all their good commentators have gone to other networks.
What i would really love to see is big Dennis Cometti doing the tennis

have to agree shiva - old sandy seems to cover a huge range of sports yet knows bugger all about any of them and its hardly his personality that keeps people interested.

Not to be intended to insult anyone personally but I'm sure it'd be very hard thinking of amazingly interesting things to day every few minutes and it would get harder as the years go on to think of more without repeating yourself.

With the good comes the bad in all aspects of life, just get on with things.

These commentators are paid good money to give us good commentary so making excuses for them just doesnt cut it

Both Gary Wilkinson and Sandy Roberts are absolutely idiotic comentators, if Sandy just beating Gary over the line.

Ok, so maybe Sandy was an alright commentator in footy, but in tennis, he has no idea about what he is talking about. He seems to love reeling of pointless statistics most of the time eg. "That was his 45th backhand in this match" or something stupid like that. He annoys me, thats for sure.

John Alexander is good, so is John Fitzgerald most of the time. Liz Smylie and the other blonde chick are pretty good too, and Pam Shriver when she was on the team always had interesting and entertaining things to say. Can't wait for Johnny Mac to arrive!
