I just wanna say a big THANKYOU for all your supporters who have been over on our Brissy board with words of congratulations and support ever since the Lions knocked your mob out a couple of weeks ago. I know it was Collingwood after all but I dunno - if my side had won back to back flags I wouldn't want somebody else's team coming along and stealing the limelight on me. Also you're graciousness and humility in defeat after the Semi Final two weeks ago was outstanding I thought. I know that I for one wouldn't feel much like doing the same in that position. Youse are a credit to your club and to your state, and you leave those morons down at Alberton for dead. Well done, thanks again, and best of luck for the Crows in season 2004.

I guess it's because we respect Brisbane as a team, it's coach and non-feral supporters.

Brisbane plays footy the way we want the Crows to play. You have set the standard.

As for Collingwood and Port - two words sum it up:

Not to worry rchowell, personally, it's been a pleasure following the Lions the past 2 weeks, you have a once in a lifetime footy team there, exciting, tough, spirited and virtually impossible to beat, particularly when it counts. I've truly felt like a Brissie supporter this past fortnight, and I have to say, I enjoyed it!

And our graciousness and humility in defeat 2 weeks ago came from the fact we were spanked conclusively by a much better side, in all facets of the game. Not much you can say other than well done and too good.

I will mention however that in last year's GF I was going for Collingwood, as I didn't want the Lions to emulate us (how foolish of me ). But now, quite obviously, the Lions are one of, if not THE, best side to ever play the game and to wish ill upon you guys would be pointless. No one is ever going to confuse the 97 and 98 premiership sides with the current Brissie Lions outfit.

So therefore I wanted history to be made on Saturday and I was overjoyed to see you pull it off!

And may your reign long continue.....(seeing as though we won't seriously challenge next season) let's Four-play!

I'd also like to add my thanks to all the Crows supporters - you guys are welcome anytime to come and discuss matches with us, there were SO many interesting discussions and many congratulations.....along with the Swans supporters you guys have been an absolute pleasure to post with, must be something to do with interstate sides!!!

Thanks again, and all the best for next season, I have no doubts you'll be challenging us for the premiership.

Your club is the greatest club of the twenty first century, and has the been the bench-mark for the last three seasons. I said to myself I'd be going for the Lions when/if we were eliminated, and I cheered quite loudly on Sunday for a Hattrick.

I'd easily say the Lions would be my second or equal second favourite team

Let's not forget however that they beat Collingwood, the most hated team in the league. I think if they were playing just about any other team (except maybe Port) then most of those people would have been on the other bandwagon.

Once we got knocked out I wanted Brisbane to win no matter who they played.

Its not hard to admire a team that plays hard but fair and are not arrogant considering what they have done in recent times

I Admire the Brisbane Lions and even though you dispatched the Crows a few weeks ago I was there and watched the Mighty Lion Claim their 3-Peat!!!! Congratulations it is a fair effort, Good Luck in 2004, but I wish a bit more luck to the Mighty Crows
