Look back to what was about round 10 or 7, cant remember which.
The just about winless hawks were versing the winless tigers. The hawks scraped over the line. Didn't play great footy, but won nevertheless. They haven't looked back since.
We didn't play exceptionally, the same problems of using the small forwards as targets, and butchering the ball still existed, but we got the 4 points.
Our rucks won the contest, our midfield got the hands on the ball, our defence, although shaky, eventually got on top. We may not have played brilliantly, or played a brilliant side, but we were playing away from home, and got the four points. The players have got the sniff of four points, they now know what it takes to lift momentum. And who knows how far that can take us.
They now know how to win. And you never know, footy is a game about momentum, and we are coming off a win.
Next week=huge.
