WaynesWorld19
Post-Human
This week was indeed an interesting week in Qooty .....and yet another Chapter has been added to the WaynesWorld19 book
It must be noted, as the offended club, we felt we should not be vocal in Committee ......and allow the independent clubs drive the
In fact the Baghdad Bombers did not vote on either the guilt or innocence of Test Tickle & his Bears ......nor did we vote on the punishment, albeit we did have a judgement ready, if our vote was required
So As i sat in the Committee Gallery .....it was illuminating to see Barrybran takeon the other clubs in defense of his beloved Bears .....if only he had been this feisty in an earlier decision involving his club ......maybe my words rung in his ear, but you have to choose your battles
This was a true David versus Goliath ......Barry requesting definitive proof that a Boycott had occurred by the Bears .....was organized by the Bears
So what is this "Burden of Proof" that Barrybran demanded of Committee Members ......is the Committee a Court of Law ? ....do we have forensic investigators to trawl through PM's .....certainly this was the line Barry was talking
Or is it fair to assume that in a Fake Fantasy Football League, that a lesser degree of "Burden of Proof" be applied ......There is a lesser standard of proof called "Reasonable suspicion" .....Reasonable suspicion is a low standard of proof to determine whether a brief investigation or search by Committee Members is warranted. It is important to note that this investigation is normally quite brief..... its thoroughness is proportional to, and limited by, the low standard of evidence.
So what was this low level of evidence, Barry was unwilling to accept:
1. Up to today .....one Bears Post for 6 days (team post) ...on the back of a list of 25 players
2. Several PM's pointing out that the Boycott, or testimonial to JWS, as some called it, was on .......strangely, the credibility of a couple of club Capt's was called to question .....with demands the PM's be tabled
3. A quorum of Bears listed players were active across the Big Footy boards .....yet mounted a defense that they didn't have the energy or will to post
Was this a good battle to fight .....was it a wise battle to fight ....was the battle ever winnable, or was it simply another Custers Last Stand
