Depends I liked Viz but it took me ages to understand the Brit humour ( 14 at the time)
I read everything from Donald Duck/Mickey Mouse to Superman to Commando battle comics. The Phantom didnt do much for me but my mate got right into it...so much so he spent $600 on getting copy 78 or something like that. He has all Phantoms from 1983 on.
Archie comics to Richie Rich and then I found Tales of the Crypt ... top stuff that was to read horror in comic form
