I've been dialling for a couple of hours now on home phone and 2 mobiles. Got through after 50 minutes, pushed the swans prompt and then busy signal. Rang out another 2 times.

This is ridiculous. We are competing against members from WCE. Freo & Adelaide. Thats probably 150,000 people ringing one number. That's bull****.

Anyone actually get through yet?

I got through just before 8.. then it took me over 15 mins to put everything in. I had one phone on either ear, i was so worried that one would start ringing and i'd hang the wrong one up.. but yeah, it all worked out.

You have a Swans membership?
Essentially. Dad's a Swans premiership member. But that membership has fallen to me because he's currently overseas.

So here's hoping for the right combination of results this weekend. Because if Sydney win on Friday night, I'm locked into purchasing a ticket. (Which wasn't the case under the system last year.)

Actually WCE members were trying yesterday and Freo members were allocated today to call.

Eagles had there day yesterday, and they had 13 or 14 thousand seats available. They all went within 2hrs, I believe there is the possibility of more being available but you may need to line up or phone through again.

What exactly was the allocation, I wonder? And of all those full club members that got through, how many would get a ticket if we beat Freo? Fingers crossed, I guess.

todays paper said sydney's allocation was 9000

Thanks.

West Coast, which has 45,000 members, had an allocation of between 11,000 and 12,000 tickets, while Sydney, with a membership of 32,000, had about 9000

I'm confused.. are they assuming that Eagles and Swans will go into the GF with those figures? Like if we won and the Crows did would we then have less tickets? Seeing Crows have a higher membership.

Anyway, hopefully if we win this weekend then i will have gotten in early enough to get tickets.

Regardless of who we play we will get the smaller amount of tickets because West Coast and Adelaide have over 43,000 members (in Adelaide's case 50,000 members) compared to our 32,000 members, so those figures wouldn't really change a great deal depending on who we play in the GF if we make it past Freo.
