True, but let's not get too critical.

Tivendale IS a running player - this is what he is in the team for. Receive a handball, use pace to get into space and then deliver forward. If you deny him that handball, then he is not much use.

He is not the problem here - it is those who are paid to go in and get the ball who are at fault.

while i agree chris.the facts are sides have woken up how too play tivendale and without any other strings to his bow then he will be near to useless.
and by what ytour saying is the crust of our problem. too many players waiting for the other to do the hard stuff.
yesterday early i thought we did quite well out of the middle until duncan went off then bang game over.
tivendale has the right size about him to bust thru packs but dosent.
i know its not his entire fault however he needs to be more than just a receiver.

I think he is too fine-boned to be a pack crasher! He is about the same height as Bowden or Hilton but probably 5 - 10 Kgs lighter. I would hold more stock in Pettifer playing in Tivendale's role as he has more ability and is multi-dimensional.
