I was just on the TAC cup website and noticed that Tomi Johnson had mighty impressive stats. This year he was plagued by injurey ans only played six games. He averaged 18 possesions and kicked 10 goals. Last year though when he was bottom aged he had the following stats:

In 17 games he kicked 16 goals
averaged 19 disposals
averaged 8 kicks
averaged 11 handballs
averaged 19 disposals
disposals by hand 90% effective
disposals by foot 90% effective (outstanding)
averaged 5 tackles
averaged 2 marks
averaged 3 handball recieves

What are peoples opinions of him who have seen him play because his stats seem mighty impressive, especially his kicking effectiveness? Seems to be a genuine hardball winner. Only negative is his size as he is currently about 176cm and 65 kg.

In my opinion he is definately worth a look in for pick 83 or the rookie draft. What are your thoughts?

Nothing would give me more pleasure than seeing someone truly worthy of the #7 running around in a Carlton jumper.

That said, his size (5'9" in the old measurements) is going to cripple him at AFL level. He's simply not big enough. He would probably dominate the next tier competitions though, like Brett Backwell has.

The question is, can he get bigger? Pity we can't load him up with growth hormones.
