Pie 4 Life
Hall of Famer
Hey everyone, I think there used to be a place to post accomplishments with games, but was keen to get an update with your most successful saves. Total Aussie Rules seemed to be the one with the least bugs (for me) and I wanted to know how far people have got with it.
I have got to the end before, but my most interesting save is at the moment, where I've actually challenged myself to try and coach ALL 16 teams before the end of the save. And not only that, but win premierships for ALL 16 teams. Generally once I've won a flag and my contract runs out, I'll join another club, but sometimes I'll renew if I think I'm close to a flag.
My current status: Nine flags with four clubs.
Collingwood 2007-2010 - Premierships: 2008, 2009
Bulldogs 2011-2013 - Premierships: 2013
Adelaide 2014-2019 - Premierships: 2015-2018
Port Adelaide 2020-2028 - Nothing
Hawthorn 2029-2036 - Premierships: 2031, 2033
I've just joined St Kilda after finishing runner-up twice with the Hawks in the last two seasons (could have had 11 flags).

If anyone still plays the game, I'd be interested in a bit of a challenge similar to that of Football Manager.
In one save of Total Aussie Rules (2007-2099), the goal is to coach every AFL club and win a flag with each club. There's no order to go to or from. You can go back to clubs you've been at and win more flags, but obviously the quicker you win flags at clubs, the quicker you get to reach your goal.
How you do it is up to you, have it on an EASY but NOT simple match day difficulty (can win flags without making it a monty). I do all the off-season stuff and then sim through games/seasons just to get through the time (more so like a team manager).
There's no prizes or anything, I just would be interested to see if anyone would be interested in having a go and what the results could be. Perhaps someone might win 40 flags? Maybe someone might win six in a row? The journey is up to you, I just thought it is something interesting to add some flavour to the game.
