The stage is short and there's every chance that a strong group could escape at the off and never be seen by the peloton again. The French now have a host of names who will be putting an X next to this stage, led by Sylvain Chavanel and perhaps even Thomas Voeckler, if he's fully fit. Any one of FDJ's riders could be involved as well. The final summit comes just 13km from the ~inish. It's got to be Chavanel, hasn't it? Expect fireworks from Omega Pharma-Quick Step's Chavanel, who'll be looking to add to his Tour stage win from 2010.

This should be decent. Cannondale may not need to help Sagan, he can chase a break down on the descent on his own. Will Froome try and lead on the descent again? Looks like it is made for a late break up the climb, but Corsica is proving to be very unpredictable.

Similar stage to last night. Final climb is tougher tonight though. Expect Sagan and EBH to be in the Peleton. If the escape is caught, it should be a sprint between these 2.

Also, what is up with FDJ? Their strategy seems to be totally out of whack with the riders at their disposal.

I'll say an escape will be caught but only by a select group.

It will be down to those that can sprint after being carried over that last climb.

Will be interesting to see if Rolland attacks the Marsolino. I think he's a shoe in for the polka dots this year.

Yeah, that was odd last night. Maybe they were told to stop a Europcar win, after that team has been outperforming them for a while.

He is in a tricky position because it will be difficult for him to get in any big breakaways to rack up points. Samu managed to do it in 2011 and come 5th, so it is possible. I reckon if he were to target it, he should lose some time so he gets some latitude.

another good stage tonight, only made it to the top of the Cat 2 last night.

Gonna try make it to the end tonight despite having an 8am meeting tomorrow

It's the Tour de France, anything can happen. Can't be expecting wins from anyone!
Too true. Only at the tour do they move the finish line because a bus got jammed in the banner.

Slightly off topic but FTA TV sucks dogs balls so thank f**k for SBS. The Skoda Tour Tracker is awesome, nice work SBS, really set the bar when it comes to sports broadcasting!

corsica looks like it might be nice for a visit. +1bucketlist
Yep, absolutely loving some of this footage. Heading there next year to do the Mare a Mare Sud. This is making me impatient.
