I dropped down to training today to check out progress. The following notes:
In the injured group doing light training were: The O'hailpins, McLaren, Bryan, Wiggins, Walker. Santata & Aisake also jogged laps. None looked uncomfortable.
One concern: after a brisk workout all round, I noticed Hartlett (I think - it's hard to be sure), holding his right hammy and coming off early. I hope that's nothing to worry about.
I was particularly pleased to see Bradley working 1-on-1 with Blackwell's foot disposal. He was trying to correct Blacky's ball drop with the usual tips: hold the ball over the foot; don't swing the ball side to side. That's the sort of skills coaching we need, and it's great to be getting it from someone as good as Braddles.
The routines were centred around moving the ball quickly and directly, and drilling teammates to start running for a handpass once someone gets the ball, and generally to stay on the move constantly. If we can pull it off, it will make for great football. The only problem is that noone plays man-on-man like they do in these drills.
I thought Ackland moved well - he might not be the best ruckman, but I think he'll get to all the contests and won't slack off.

did you happen to notice if Justin Davies was training and, if so, how did he look ?
