Besides only dockers supporters, who else out there is fed up with the tribunal? i mean seriously (i know its hard to take the tribunal seriously, but we'll try) how can you give a guy 1 week for headbutting, another 1 week for punching a bloke in the scrote and then another 2 weeks for a love tap to the guts?? then only a couple weeks early a bloke only gets 3 weeks for trying to demolish a guys head with a nice big hook! what sort of example are we setting? with the current system, 2 guys could get reported for exactly the same thing with 1 guy getting 2 weeks and one getting none, depending on past convictions. I can understand the idea behind punnishing repeat offenders more harshly, but at the end of the day it simply isnt fair. maybe give repeat offenders an extra fine or something, but allowing such variation in offences, some of which are disgraceful to sport let alone football is ludicrous. although not liking to reference soccer, remember the media and world outrage when the french skipper headbutted that italian bloke to the chest?? huuuuge outcry. yet we have brad green headbutt ryan crowley directly to the face and he get a 1 week slap on the wrist. unbelievable. where are we headed? the game is seriously skiing downslope at the moment-fast. we need to stop making changes, understand that footy is a physical game, and get back to how it was 10+ years ago. Like i said, anyone other than freo supporters think that the current tribunal is a joke?

You posted this on the main forum so it looks like I'll respond twice.

Since the base of your arguement is based on Green getting one week for the headbutt, but the fact is the points amounted to three weeks and his good record and early plea brought him back. Therefore your arguement is basically irrelevent because Carr and Headland didnt have the extra 25% to fall on.

carr & headland - idiots, just when your team is trying to cement a spot - well done boys :thumbsu:
Don't have a problem with you do the crime you do the time. The problem is the inconsistency of both the reports and non reports, and the Tribunal system. All clubs are complaining about it.
It has degenerated into a courtroom, with more emphasis on the wording of the report by the umpires, and whose top lawyer can pick it to pieces.
Laymen versus Legal eagle. Whatever your previous good record, a head butt, especially when that player is only just back from fractured cheekbone and concussion, has to be worse than a slight love tap to the tummy before the game even started. (and I was there and saw it) All players and all clubs indulge in that initial argie bargie, nothing to it.
At the moment, minor infringements seem to be reported and major incidents in play where players are definitely unfairly targetted are regarded as play on. Have the Umps become scared of making a major decision because of the consequences. Would like to see more free kicks and 50M penalties instead of reports for minor infractions.
