What a magnificant game!

Yet again, the men in orange stamping their authority on this game.

Pies get the free in front and kick a point. Wasting their chances.

The curse of '79 & '84 hits Glenorchy again.

A very good game was hoping for a Glenorchy win but it wasnt to be, Just thought in the 1st half Glen was playing very nervous football a lot of fumbling. Its always disappointing when the Roos win a flag.

Im sure S.Wade is very happy with this result and probarly will celebrate with the Clarence boys as this is what he wanted.

It's a record at Tier 1 competition, beating the Eastern Suburbs record of 1953-59 that they won in the AFL Sydney Competition. In regards to most consistency at Tier 1 it is St Marys in the NTFL (Darwin) who won 13 premierships in 15 years through 1983/4 and 1996/7, they missed a premiership in 1988/9 and 1992/3.

Crowd at Aurora was about 4300, looked like more personally. David Wickham looked like he could have iced the game with about 4 minutes to go but missed everything from 35m out and scores were level in the final 3 minutes before George Town hit the front with 40 seconds to go with a behind and then another behind with 23 seconds to go to hang on and win a classic match! Rocherlea started well leading by 23 at quarter time but the Saints turned that around with 7 goals to 2 in the second term to lead by 7 at half time on the back of a 3-4 goal breeze. Rocherlea gave away 2 "stupid" 50m penalties in the final minute of the third term to turn around a 5 point lead to a 7 point deficit in the final term. The lead changed hands on 4 occasions in the final term before the Saints got the 2 behinds in the final minute to win.
Without doubt one of the best games I've seen!

I wondered given the shortness of the last quarter if he blew the siren himself to make sure of the win.

Anyone think Marcus Parker is a chance to get drafted?

Barely went 25 minutes....I can't recall too many quarters that short at any level of footy.

I wouldn't think Marcus Parker is a chance to get drafted. He will be a good player at this level with a bit more development, but can't see him being AFL-standard. How old is he?

25:56 the last quarter went. TSL's 20 mins plus time-on from memory.
Seemed to go awfully short compared to the others though, yeah.
Glenorchy had plenty of chances in the dying minutes but stuffed it up in the finish.

Unfortunately yes, while I don't follow Glenorchy I do have a strong disliking of Clarence.

Any truth that a few of the Norky boys boxed on Saturday night? Glen's name was mentioned as one of the involved.

If true, I hope he performed better at night than he did in the afternoon!

Andy Bennett didn't miss him in his commentary!

Roughly late in the third qtr - "Chris Glenn hasn't had a touch!"
