now that you mention it....I was relatively calm on that front yesterday........so they must have been ok....

Generally if you can't remember problems - they must have been alright

They let a lot go which I don't mind (unless it's really obvious). Interestingly what I thought were the two worse decisions were right in front of us (funnily enough:D ). Van Berlo got pinged for holdng the ball and he wasn't in control (umpire was behind him and couldn't tell) and ditto Torney (?) got done for a throw in chain of hand passes and again the Umpire was behind him and seemed to guess that one.
The Bulldogs supporters near us weren't happy. But to be honest I think they were more frustrated with their own team than the umpires.

I thought there were some really bad ones at the start (and the Edwards mark that just wasn't) but I loved that they let things go so much more. Just let the minor things slide by and let the game flow, it's what I love about the SANFL so much.

exactly. Its amazing the AFL don't seem to know that that's what the fans want. We want umpires to play a minimal role in the game and you can see that by looking at the constant threads on the main board. Its what makes finals so good to watch other than the pressure.

I reckon our best game in recent times was the North Melbourne game when the umpires paid about 10 frees all day. Good hard contest that was adjudicated by the ball up and the mark

My thoughts exactly, I wasnt whinging too much, and my wife walked out of the game with me so they couldnt have been too bad:p :thumbsu:

Some really glaring errors - the non-mark of Edwards. High tackles on VB, Reilly and Bode that they missed. Higgins mark where he puts his hands on Dougies head before taking it.

And some glaring errors that didn't go the doggies way too.

The umps are very lucky at the moment that their injury list worse than ours and are able to get away with substandard performances.

I agree, but mostly in the first half. It wasnt so much what they paid but what they didnt. There were a couple of blatant holding the balls that we didnt get just after our guys were pinned.
