Anyone heard these guys?

I'm expecting to get kheel-hauled (sorry, saw pirates of hte carribean on the weekend) for admitting I bought a SCREAMO cd "Define the Great Line" (i.e. cross between emo and harcore - to us mid twenties types it's still all punk) and am actually really digging it.

Yes, it's emo-ish lyrics, but it's got a big set of balls too and some excellent drumming. Besides, do lyrics really matter when they're being screamed at you almost inaudibly?

Gotta admit though, these guys have some shocking haircuts:

Give it a chance, that's all I ask.

Underoath are awesome mate, don't expect too much from them live as they aint that great, but nonetheless Taste of Chaos in October, should be good :thumbsu:.

Holy cow, I just found out these guys are Christian metal - that's usually like hearing Carmen Electra is actually a man. Oh well, there music still kicks arse, yeah I heard they're coming out in October, not sure if I'd go or not.

ROFL

seriously, their newest album (the one you got) is heavier than their earlier two, which are pretty homosexual.
Might as well go read a bible instead.

I can't really understand thier lyrics that well anyway, but I used to listen to heaps of hardcore stuff back in the day. They can write some pretty nice music, and considering I only just ofund out their religious, and obviously didn't purchase the music for that reason - it doesn't really matter imo.

Yeah I doubt you would dig their earlier stuff though. The new album is their best, in places they sound similar to Every Time I Die or Norma Jean (another chrisso band btw). The earlier stuff is way too emo for my liking.
