I find it hard to fathom the position that St Kilda presented to the AFL commision. They only needed to turn up to hear the result knowing it was the right thing to do.

If they were being good sportsmen they wouldnt even have bothered with presenting. Instead they chose to 'hide' behind protecting the integrity of the game and any future ramifications an overturned decision may have.

I believe that they have done themselves great harm from a public perspective both from their club actions and the reactions from their coaching staff, Grant Thomas in particular.

I wish the St Kilda players all the best, but their club has tarnished their image on and off the field.

Who needs enemies when you've got a President like Butters and Coach like Thomas?

I definitely think that they had a case and have no problems with them presenting it. It is an AFL first, and they should test it because there is no precedent. And if they had won, then so be it, even though it would not sir well.

What I didn't like is the attitude and arrogance of a few of the Sin Kilda crew, particularly their Coach and President. A poor performance by them, which reflected badly on their club. You can state your case without grinning and smirking, or mock outrage that you have been hard done by in some way.

A little bit humility can make a big difference.
