URGENT!! nav32_loader.exe Help needed

Hello

Recently those Love screensaver emails went around (a virus) and a relative of mine downloaded it. Now whenever he wants to open a .exe it says "illegal operation nav32_loader.exe", this is a common virus.

Anyway Ive found the viruses to kill it, but they are .exe files, and naturally you cant open them, so what do we do?

If anyone has had this, or knows anything bout curing the damn computer, please respond, its urgent as he has work files he must open

try this:

back up your registry first

1. boot your computer to DOS, copy the file "regedit.exe" and name it "regedit.com"

2. go back to windows, run "regedit.com" to open up the registry editor, then go to this:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\open\command\
the "data" should be - %1"%, which should be exactly the same as HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\runas\command\

since u have a virus, the data will be the virus file instead of %1"%, delete the data and replace it with %1"%

after that, all your exe programs will work, run your anti-virus program and get rid of that virus.
