Yeah yeah, just another excuse to suck more $$$ outta people like us, but lets face it, we're all gonna get our partners something on Friday!!!!!
(even tho you don't need a designated day to show your partner you love them - that should be EVERY day! suck! :p )

So what's everyone getting??? i have absolutely NOOOOO idea what to get my bf!!!!
Can't get him anything football related as he can get it himself anyway, he's not a jewelery guy, boxer shorts are boring!

Ah! i have no idea! Thank god his b'day isnt for another 8 months! :)

Any suggestions???? (i seem to be asking for a lot of help lately! )

Tell him that you are giving him a baby.
After he has finished freaking (and you have told him you were only kidding), he will be so relieved he will love anything you give him!:D

Our wedding anniversary (our 1st) is on the 16th-- this Sunday.

I keep kidding Jen about "Valentine's Day is cancelled for all eternity", and saying that it's in too close proximity to our wedding anniversary, but I really am tempted to just get a larger gift for the 16th and give her a small amount of roses and cards for the 14th...

So who thinks Valentine's Day is a made-up holiday, anyways? And who else believes that Hallmark is the said perpetrator? :D

Cheers,
William

I hate Valentines Day - only cause I'm single! I get so grumpy cause everyone else who I work with in our office is either married or in a long term relationship. I am in a seriously bad bad mood for this one day of the year.. no roses for me god damm it!

'Why doesn't anyone love meeeeee!'

The only time I got anything was in Year 11 when I was sent a fluffy white bunny (still got it), a dozen roses with a card saying...

'Be my valentine, be my valentine, be my friend!'

WTF??!!

:D

And I still don't know to this day who sent me that stuff....but I thank them none the less. There is hope that one VD I will get sent something from a secret admirer once again!

The hubby & I will be going out to dinner tomorrow night at an Asian restaurant, & we'll just give each other little presents, like some nice body butter for myself & some aftershave gel for him.

ive only ever recieved gift from stalkers. until the day, i forget it even exists. but if u were into love i spose it would be a lot of fun.

I bought my wife a gold ring with a Aquamarine (her birthstone) in the middle surrounded by a few smaller diamonds and aquamarines. I also filled our house with Roses and Daffodils (birth flower).

I'm taking mine to dinner and giving her chocolates, a teddy bear and a letter - we aren't supposed to be getting presents, but I know if I don't get her something she will have something for me and I will be in deep sh*t.

Got a very cool card this morning.

And yes, I hate Valentine's Day, but it's a bit better when you are with someone!

Now that Valentine's Day has come and gone (just about, anyway), I'll give my report on the day...

We actually exchanged gifts last night, because we knew that with our work schedules, we'd be way too busy to enjoy them today.

Gave her a couple of cards, some chocolates, and a couple of plants. Could have given her roses-- but roses die out a lot sooner than plants do, and as long as plants last a lot longer, isn't that a symbollic sentiment of love, anyways? :)

For our wedding anniversary on Sunday night, we've booked reservations for a nice restaurant in the Bakery Hill area of Ballarat, and we're going to have a nice, secluded dinner and then go to the movies. Haven't decided what we're seeing yet, though-- we might make that decision spontaneously.

All in all, a good weekend planned... and I promised her that I would take time off from work as much as possible to make it even more special. :)

Cheers,
William

I'm treating my other half to a facial.

Yes, I hear that semen is good for the skin :D

But seriously folks:

Auntie Shell came home to find a dozen red roses in a great big monster bouquet. First time I've done something more than a card for Valentines Day in 10 years. It took her a few minutes to realise the flowers were for her - then she broke into tears.

Uncle Steve is in the good books tonight!

Sounds like you two are having an excellent couple of days, good luck with it.

HHMMMM my day, well I didn't expect anything, being happily single, but was shocked when I turned my pooter on this morning & had a Valentines Day E Card, was a bit shocked & then worried about who might be sending it & the contents, anyway, got the courage to open it & it was from my daughter, aren't kids wonderful. :D

Then when I got to work, my boss had a dozen red roses sitting on my desk, what a sweetie, but then worried because he is married & I wondered why he did it, I went in to thank him & he said no problems, just a thankyou for being a great employee & he knew that being single now, I wouldn't have got anything from anyone else, so just wanted to brighten my day.

Lovely thought, but a PAY RISE would have been better, only joking. ;)
