Toast WA Supporters

Well done done to all the WA supporters at the Freo game. I just watched the game and it was great to see the presence of all you guys and gals there in the Red ,White & Black behind the goals.
Only disappointment, again, was the lack of a certain supporter, who won't be named, holding up a placard of a particular style of knife.

As an interstate supporter myself it really can be a long time between drinks with the Saints. Boy doesn't it feel good when you are surrounded by a sea of opposition supporters and are able to stick it up them. There is always the shock factor as they inevitably expect to win, the look of frustration and disbelief on their faces truly is one of the great joys in the footy world.

Apologies for not having the Stanley Knife placard but I did yell out "Go Stanley Knife" a couple of times when Rhys was in the vicinity. Not sure if he heard me or not.

There was a big contingent of Saints supporters at the city end, we definitely outnumbered Freo supporters in that area and made a lot more noise. The Freo supporters were pretty quiet in general being behind for the whole game. They came to life a bit in the last quarter when they got within a couple of goals but that was soon snuffed out when Schneider kicked the sealer.

As I mentioned in the match thread, the highlight of the day was the massive "Milney" chant that went up from Saints supporters after the game. Milney was being interviewed in the middle of the ground and then ran down to thank the supporters and the roar got even louder. Meanwhile all the Freo supporters were trudging out silently for the exits. Was awesome.
