THis has prolly been done a millions times so yer. Every 1 is excited how judd will go or kreuzer. BUt AW is the most i cant wait for. I really hold him in high regard and i just cant wait for him to become the star he really is on the field. Do yous think that he will get his kicking under control? When does he return? When will he take the next step into the elite group of midfielders of the comp.

and 1 more question, when he is going 2 take the mark of the year that we have been waiting for?

His kicking, well he has been having extra skills sessions at training (well he was late last year anyway) so only time will tell about this.

IMO his decision making is what lets him down which impacts on his kicking. IF he plays in the midfield this season he can let loose, his game against North last season showed the best and worst of Walker. He has the ability to become elite he had 30 something possessions that game, a lot of them hard ball gets and some terrific ball following pickups (in a game where we were spanked all around the ground) but some shocking decisions / turnovers which followed.

Only time will tell I guess, if he can improve he may well be elite, if not he will still be a good player.

If people care to watch any of the games he played last year prior to injury in the hawks game, they would see that his disposal is not to bad! Think the second half of the year is fresher in peoples mind!! I think its more his decission making!! The whole team has poor disposal when we get stuck on the back flank without run!!

Top point :thumbsu:.

Not gonna get sucked into another walker slagging thread, people just cant consider the realities of his situation (injuries, expectations, burden etc, etc, etc), so will defer to the original post.

The Guy is a essential to our team, one of our best. There will be those who are still waiting, some just take longer than others to realise whats in their face, but its hard for people to realise that they hold bias. He is a massive contributor, who doesnt just get the ball but demands it, can move and carry the ball probably better than anyone in our team, judd andd walker will be interesting to watch, has the best "DONT ARGUE" going around, and when playing his own game will be almost unstoppable.

Walker is only a year older than Murphy, and yet has taken on, every week, the very best the competition has to offer from every team and more often than not won. The list of names this guy has beaten is amazing......

but of course some of us can only ever focus on the occasional poor decision and some wayward kicking in his early days. (Not like Marcs  )

His first half of the year was quite good, and it was visible he was playing lesser to that after. Any idea on why he was allowed to play on? In the end wasn't it this injury that flared up again during the off season because he didn't have surgery?

Because he's a stubbin prick, prolly kept his injuries from the Club for as long as he could so he could keep getting out there and having a kick. I think with the shoulder it couldnt have got any worse and he needed surgery already, so they decided to let him go ahead.

Big year ahead. Confidence is the key factor. With more time settled into a position and a clearly define role, he will have a huge impact.

Hopefully anyway!!

He turns the ball over 70% of the time. Unless he starts to hit targets he´s as good as Jordan Russell in my mind!! That goes with 50% of our list!

This smells a lot like you pulled it right out of your Accurate Records of Stats Effectiveness

I presume you mean he finds a target 70% of the time- in which case you're close but it's a little better than that at 74%.

I think our new game plan in the midfield of run and handball to an overlapping player will suit Walks......I can see him and Juddy receiveing handballs, breaking the lines and then releasing to the overlapping player.......our issue Sat night with the plan was handballing to players stadning still, or with poor acceleration.........Judd and Walks will receive and bolt.

We have all spoken at length about his disposal and decision making.....it should improve if we believe what has been siad about Pagan not doing much skills training, but it won't change overnight.:thumbsu:
