"Glenelg Tiger Snakes
Finally the mighty Tigers from SA join the AFL.
Of course they would not be allowed to use their jumper or logo.
But still wanting a Tiger in the name they opted for the deadly Tiger snake.
They decided also to go for completely new colours of copper and olive green.
Their collars yellow, and number yellow with black border to remind everyone who they were.
Initially when they presented their new jumper that both Richmond and the AFL accepted, the snake tail was also copper and olive green stripes.
But in the last minute they changed the tail to black yellow suggesting that the snake was tiger in snake clothing.
The Richmond board chuckled and accepted the change, and thus Glenelg Tiger Snakes jumper became official.
Design designed by myself with AI assistance. "

"With all of Glenelg's recent success it was time for the Bays to up the ante and apply for a license in the AFL. The application was accepted with Richmond objecting to the use of their demonyms. Glenelg used this opportunity to rebrand to the Leopards and thus a conflict was averted."

"Glenelg opted for orange to be the main colour coming from their inception in 1920 where they wore red, yellow and black with white knickers. Merging the red and yellow to make the said orange while keeping the traditional black and yellow so as not to clash with Richmond's identity and keep it unique to the club. The Bays would be the moniker going forward as it was used by supporters alongside the then official moniker 'The Tigers'. "
