We are at the airport...atmosphere is amazing!!! Soooo much purple. Our flight has been delayed by a hour so just relaxing and soaking it in - finally being able to sense this is all REAL!!!!

I have a flag and no stick!!! I noticed some punters have risked it and am sure Qantas will accommodate their sticks. Will be out stick hunting tomorrow unless someone can spare a stick. The ones on eBay and gum tree are about $800!! ;-)

Just booked my flights. Been overseas 6 weeks, get back tomorrow 7am Adelaide time, fly out Saturday at 9:30, get in about 2.5 hours before the game so should be plenty of time to run to the game. Then i fly out early Sunday because really I havent seen anyone for 6 weeks so would like to do some catching up before I go back to work on Monday.

Reading the AFL website.. they have a party from 6-8 where the premiers are presented again on the MCG... so it seems the AFL are controlling it rather than the clubs.

Ten minutes from mine to the Treasury Gardens for the parade; Fifteen-ish to the 'G.

The phrase "what a life" has been uttered about 45 times, audibly, this week. Great times.
