According to the Fosters commercials they run on American TV, an Aussie 'salad' is an enormous beefy steak with a small garnishment of parsley on it.

Pretty funny series of commercials for what it's worth, but our Fosters Group beers are counterfeit **** made by the freakin' Canadians.
