So who's the new whipping boy for this year, now that krakouer's gone.

After todays team selection it seems it may well be Howatt

Howat hasn't put a foot wrong. I've seen many more mistakes by your Johnsons, Raines and Jons. They are the ones bringing us down. Howat brings something to our game whether people don't want to see it or not. I think I need beer goggles so I can see his supposed bad skills and to see him to run in circles. We only have about 5 players in our team who have plenty of courage. So you can't pick him to be soft amongst the rest of the team. I'm glad he was chosen over Tivva and Hyde on the wing. He's the best choice along with Tambo for the wings. Once we get Polo and Cogs, we'll have the right balance of hardness and outside players. Hardness won't get you far if you don't have the skill or the brain to go with it eg Raines

From what i saw last year in the game against Hawthorn he was scared of Sam Mitchell, it was one of the most embarrassing things i have seen as a Richmond supporter. Anyway I hope Howatt can prove me wrong but I seriously have my doubts.

I think he won't play anyway there will be a late change

Speaking of...

Massive kudos to Kayne Pettifer who was a whipping boy of the club for 3 or 4 years, has really emerged as a really good goal kicker and a top 10 player at the club:thumbsu:

Whipping boys this year imo: Howat, Meyer, JON, Hyde

A whipping boy has to be getting a regular senior game otherwise he's not a whipping boy. That counts Meyer and JON out.
It will continue to be the usual culprits - Tivendale, Hyde, Johnson.
For me, it's Raines. But we're just supporters...we're allowed to criticise.

I have to say that I agree with that. Howat is far from the worst player on our list. I hope people realise that we aren't talking about John Howatt...now there was a dud if ever I've seen one.

Raines for sure...if he plays like he did last year disposal and decision making wise he will cop a hammering (not that he hasn't already)

Your not watching the same Howat as the rest of us obviously.

Four great Howat touches. He is worth persisting with.
