La-Froyg is the absolute goods! love the intense "peatiness' of the islay malts. I drink it neat too, with maybe a tiny dash of spring water. never on the rocks - when water is such an integral part of a whisky's flavour, the worst that can be done is to anaesthetize it with frozen tap water.

also love Lagavulin, Highland Park, and Glenfarclas, but Laphroaig is my favourite.

whisky is supposed to be good for you too, when taken in moderation. I read that it helps with lowering the incidence of heart disease, etc.. as well as helping with sleeplessness :)

I recommend the Johnnie Walker Journey of Taste evenings if anyone gets a chance to go to one. A mate who enjoys his whisky, secured an invitation to one evening for him and myself. It was held in the Rocks, Sydney, we are given two drink vouchers at entry along with finger food and then lead through 6 samples of single malts through Scotland in their presentation. The best thing is it is absolutely free and a great way to start a night out!

As far as I know, these evenings travel the country.
