If we're offered a trade we just couldn't refuse than sure trade him but otherwise I'd just put him on an average sized contract for two years and treat him like just one of the boys instead of a star which he's clearly not.

I feel we should only trade Lance if we get a very good trade. In fact I believe it would have to be a top 5 pick in the draft or a player who is present top 50-75. I feel that given where Lances' public image is at the moment that there is no way we will receive anything like this for him.
As such I really believe we would be best holding onto Lance. I think we should leave him at CHF or even time at FF. I feel that this season he has been as committed as any in our side to the contest. So long as he puts his body on the line and takes some heat bringing the ball to the ground he is valueable to us.
If we leave him forward regularly then I believe he will still have some big games. In the others he will still be solid if we show him some faith.

He should have been traded at the end of the last 2 or even 3 seasons and his value has just got progressively worse. He HAS to go this year for whatever we can get for him.

ATM, trade value = Jack Squat. Seriously, you'd be looking at maybe a Round 4 and the team getting him would classify Whitnall as a Project Player.
Seriously, if the Eagles nabbed him, he will be a special project player... i.e. let him play 3 times a year on a smaller away ground like SCG & Telstra Dome and the remainder of the year, let him play in the WAFL.
