I have watched many 2's games in previous years and noticed how much promise Chris Ladhams had.

Unfortunately he got his shoulder injured. I was wondering do any of you think that's why he got delisted or not.

Surely they couldve found room for him if thats not the case!

i dont know who you think ladhams is but you have it wrong
he had more than just the shoulder injury, he missed a hell of a lot of footy, that would be reason one
second of all, he is a small forward/onballer, have a look at the blokes ahead of him
mercuri
rioli
moorcroft
caracella
mcgrath
switala
ramanauskas
jacobs, etc

he is no where near up to their standards, i cant see him getting a game, and why not get rid of him and give another kid a chance

the really disappointing thing about him going is that the draft pick we used to get him we traded for che cockatoo collins, which seems a waste of a good player and a great bloke. its almost as if we gave che to port for nothing

Walshy while you may have given CCC to Port for nothing, pretty much thats what they gotten from him too!

It will get harder and harder for young guys to stay listed, with the reduction of squads all the time, ending up at 35 I think. They probably have two years max too stand up, especially the way we're going at the moment.

Yeah poor old Cocky has had alot of injuries shame really as you say Walshy he's a real nice guy. Lets face it though he'd struggle to get a game with us at the moment, we don't miss him at all.

Cheers.

I thought he looked alright as well Robomber. Was very surprised to hear he got the arse. Only had 2 years and remember sheeds was pumping up his tyres last year in an interview. The kid has great disposal and is smart with the ball.

On the other side of the coin, he's had a few injuries which is the last thing you want, when trying to break into this almighty Bomber line-up. Suppose they've just made an educated decision that he won't cut the mustard in the near future and consequently aren't prepared to waste time with him.

Like cattle to the slaughter is list trimming, but unfortunetly is reality for alot of these young kids. Good luck to him wherever he goes.

Word is that he was another one of these "I wanna go home to mumma types" (Grant, Rocca, White etc, etc) and he was going back to SA next year regardless. Why didn't we atleast get a late round cheap draft pick out of Port or the Crows for him probably says as much for his thought of ability.

Just read on the AFL site that Ladhams didn't nominate for the draft. Thanks Walshy, I am looking forward to knocking off & having a cold draught, Heh He.
Thanks for the info about why he didn't nominate, thought it was strange.

sandie, id hate to bring it up but its draft not draught, i thought you might want to fix it before mags grabs hold of it
um...ladhams busted his shoulder in i think the last home and away game last year and wont be able to do a preseason and should miss most of next year, this may be the reason why he didnt nominate and he will probably have another crack next year
