One step closer to losing our priority draft pick.

That's the spirit! Think positive. :)

The clinical nature of this win, and especially with the way Geelong turned up their game and lifted in the final quarter suggests to me that this might mark the start of consecutive wins.

Next week, it's St. Kilda at Docklands. And not to intend to look ahead, the next five after that are as follows:

Brisbane (in Geelong)
West Coast (away)
Sydney (at the SCG)
Hawthorn (at Docklands)
Adelaide (in Geelong)

A 3-3 mark in the next half-dozen games doesn't look so bad, considering the 1-3 start. However, a 4-2 spurt might put Geelong well within finals contention.

A great win today-- and very likely, the start of great things to come.

I'd say the games against St Kilda, Hawthorn and Sydney are winnable. We play well at the SCG.

West Coast away and Adelaide at home are doubtfuls.

Brisbane - no chance, my faith extends only so far :p

3-3 would be my bet. However, if our form goes by the first three rounds it will be 0-6.

I'd expect to go 2-4 over the next six weeks.

Although i must say, we are capable of winning them all, or getting humiliated in all of them.

If seven days is a long time in footy, as the expression goes, then the first three rounds constitutes an eternity, better known as forgotten by the Geelong players, one can hope. :)

I would agree with you about the winnable games, 3-3 would be the likely scenario.

However, the Adelaide game could be the "wild card" amongst the lot, especially given any kind of momentum coming off of projected wins over Sydney and Hawthorn. 4-2 in the next six weeks isn't out of the realm of possibilities...

Lets just take it one week at a time!!

In all honesty, a good idea.

St. Kilda could very well be an easy win next week, should today's confidence levels continue.

After that, all I'm suggesting is that this could have a snowball effect.

At least we can dream. :)

Saints should be a win. I hope!

Will be interesting to see how the Boys put it up to Brisbane, I reckon (hope) they will have a real crack at them. They will need to play whole 4 quarters, because Lions wont need much to make us look embarrasing.

West Coast is iffy, dont we usually have a pretty good record with them. I guess now that they have got Fortress Subi maybe harder.

Sydney should be a win.

Hawks, I hate watching the cats play the Hawks. Want to be a whole lot better then the last game vs the Hawks.

Crows will be interesting.

At the end of this, we could be down in the bottom area, or the in form side of the comp.

But for me take it one week at a time.

:D :D :D

Gotta agree with gocats' predictions, though I reckon we've got a crack against the Eagles, had a good record with them over the last few years both home and away. As for the Hawks, must say I'm looking forward to seeing the Cats rub the brown-and-golds' damn noses into the dirt for once.

On a side note, thank goodness we're off and running. Should do wonders restoring the confidence, Demon fade-out regardless.

The hardest thing about Perth is playing the week after, supposedly.

We have 8 days between the West Coast game in Perth (Saturday) and the Sydney game the week after, (Sunday) so that shouldn't be a factor in my opinion.

Lets just concentrate on beating the Saints next week, and to those who think it will be an easy win, there are no easy wins in this competition!!
