Work sucks...

I worked at the Perth Cup a couple of years ago - even though it was a really hot day I actually had a good time and was getting paid heaps! I'd rather work new years day then new years eve!

Did it last year. Quiet day, good pay. Spent the entire shift watching TV with my boss. Would have probably been doing the same had I stayed home, except I wouldn't have been paid to do it.

That sounds good.
I was the opposite. Completely flat out.

Where were you working?

Ive worked 3 out of the past 4 Xmas, 2 out of the last 3 new years. Been with my g/f for 4 years, but in that time have never spent a birthday, hers or mine with her, due to being away for work. I work public holidays, weekends, easter etc and don't get penalty rates of pay.I don't see her for over 6 months of the year, now how do you think i feel about my job. I haven't seen my G/F for 3 1/2 weeks, and will not get home till the 5th of January.

When you can find something that equates to fitting a lady of size 22E for a bra, you can THEN tell me work sucks :P

No Nick, I think you've said all that needs to be said. Short, concise and to the point.:D

i was trying to get a shift at my bar tonight - $38 an hour is nothing to knock back.

but i got boxing day in which was 38 as well - can't have it all i guess.

Well i just goty home from another flat out night at work.
I worked new years eve which was hell, plus xmas day and boxing day.
Don't you people have anything better to do than go out.
Why don't you all stay at home every night so us folk who work at entertainment places can be relaxed. :p

Work sucks when you have to come in to work for one lousy day when there is really nothing for you to do except ... well, just be there, when you went out last night and had a post New Years blinder and all your friends are still at home sleeping their hangovers off!!!! Damn them all!!!

Ive been stuck on an Oil Rig in the middle of the Timor Sea since early December, how do you think i feel. Working 12 hour shifts, 7 days a week, with no time off, or alcohol allowed.

That really sux. One of the people I work with, her husband works out on the rigs....He's away for 3 weeks at a time....3 weeks on the rigs, 3 weeks at home. Must be awful to be away from home for so long. :(

Being in Child Care, I've never worked over the Christmas/New Year period because most centres close down for a couple of weeks.....might sound nice, but sometimes I'd LOVE to work a public holiday or two, for the extra money!

Might take up dealing in heroin. Gotta be better than real work.

Just apply to the Collingwood Football club. I hear they now have an opening in their marketing department.:D

I thought that was ecstacy? I'm not cutting in on someone else's territory.
