Just going through my league, there are some absolute shit teams made by people who clearly have no idea. This is the worst, for example

Yep, he should downgrade fraser + sandi to ottens and HMAC - they will make much more cash.

People need to remember, most DTers play for fun - They do their team a couple of days before. Its a very small proportion that do as much research as some of us here - id say the top 15k look into it a fair bit. The rest - they just watch footy and have a bit of a crack at DT in the rest of their time as a bit of fun with their mates.

Yeah that's what I was like 3-4 years ago, when I wasn't DT obsessed.

A mate of mine last year just picked about 20 Melbourne players (mostly rookies) and then spent the rest on guns. Got smashed week in week out. Averaged about 600 for the year.

Exactly like me last year, picked my team a couple days before and it was all just for fun. It's still good to laugh at some of these teams though.

didnt really look at the scoring system until about rd 5.

At a guess I'd say at least 30,000 people make their team and don't touch it for the rest of the season.

Apparently not everybody worships the almighty game like a lot of us here......

lol some people just put there favourite players in, realise they got nothing left and go with whoever just to fill the squad. I only did my squad like 36 hours before close and got a score of 1700 as a consequence, i put no research into it at all... I think a lot of people have done the same!

I probably went different to nearly everyone however. I put virtually no stars in my side and just went for an even spread...

You guys who have spent months doing this shouldn't be laughing at us casual players!

Ok then its not one of the BF leagues, would have been a wee bit upset if this had of been one of the queue jumpers.

Might add there's a joker in my BF league who has rucks McIntosh/Cox/Sandilands,

Wont mention the rest of his team, but its more than shyte...

I saw a team 2 years ago where they chose a team of 30 actual (70k) rookies, they got about 100 if they were lucky each week.

That has all the hallmarks of a guy going for a league win and couldn't give a flying fig about ranking. Nothing wrong with that and there are probably more reading this that are just playing the league than those working out where to park a new car. He obviously doesn't really know too much about rookies, but if you replaced the sh!te rookies with good ones he would be all over your league at round 22. Of course that assumes that he knows what he is doing and by the look of it, that is an assumption that is miles off.

Im 26 and we have had the same 16 blokes in our league for 5 years, all mates from back in School and Footy etc, and even though initially its for fun, you atleast want to be competitive, otherwise your copping shit all year, even if you are doing it for fun you should ateast understand the concept of Dream Team, that players that you pick should start on the ground 90% of the time minimum even if you are hopeless, and have no idea about footy,

The auto fill option would have been a better idea for a couple of these teams posted, what a joke.

I may be missing something but how can this team only score 295 pts.
If you tally up all scoring players that comes to 1445 pts. and even if you bench the 2 highest scores in each position with no emg. you still come up with 699pts.
