Which Premiership drought do you think must have felt the worse?

The one between 1944-1966, where Richmond made the Grand Final the year after they won the Premiership. Then the remaining drought years no finals football at all. (Similar to Melbourne 1965-1986 Finals drought).

Or our current Premiership drought 1981- present where Richmond made one Grand Final two years after the Premiership and then made the Finals once in each decade. (Similar to Fitzroy drought after 1944).

Think I would prefer the Fitzroy one, but we need a Premiership soon, we don't want to follow the footsteps of the Lions...

What about Sydney/South Melbournes 1933-2005 premiership drought. If you want to go by grand finals appearances it was 1945-1996.

Either way, if Melbourne isn't going anywhere, in their current position, Richmond won't. This thread is rather pointless really.

Most discussions are....

But I didn't put a comparison with South Melbourne and us, because we don't have a comparable drought as them.

My question which drought must felt worse? And growing up with Footy in the 70's and 80's the droughts that I can compare to that are similar to both ours was Fitzroy and Melbourne. Both droughts sucked, but Fitzroy at that time showed a bit more glimmer of hope...
