My information is he's very unhappy with the offer so if i hear anymore i'll pass it on to the saints board.

Should only get one year contract. Very injury prone, so he shouldn't be offered a long term deal.

As crass as cormdoga was, I am almost starting to sway that way also.

He hasn't really lived up to his potential (pick 5 in the 2001 super draft) and it may be time for us to cut our loses and trade him while he still has some currency? Pains me to type that as he has sooooo much potential though......

One year is fair. If he comes good he can renegotiate. Got to be happy with that.

One year contracts are a way of telling somebody to shape up, because they're out of chances. Xav needs that. Remember, Burke's back in the mix at Moorabbin, and Xav owes him a lot more, given it's his #3 on his back.
