You will have to explain that a bit better for me. If it's easier, then sure.

So basically, take the #sfawarriorsbears game for example. Say I pick Bears by 20, and they end up winning by 15. I get the one point for the correct tip and the difference of 5 gets added as the margin. However if the Warriors win by 15, the margin would be the 20 that I picked, plus the 15 of the original margin, totalling 35.
This is known that the 'Margin'. Each week, this margin difference is added to, by the end the margins will total to quite a large numbers. It helps work out who the weekly winner is, and is a better deciding factor in a tipping competition.

I was thinking that having the right tip with the closest margin would be easier for me. If it was an AFL comp, I would do that, but it's just mickey mouse sorta stuff.
