A bit harsh but entirely accurate. Our only hope for fans who are naive, ignorant or an emotional wreck.
There are heaps, Stratton, Barlow even could count Rowe and White at Carlton as good players. Most kids aren't ready to go until they are in their 20s at least. I don't think SOS played much in his first year did he?
You need to remember that caliber of players who "mentored" SOS from mid-80's. SOS Jr. will not have that luxury. He will be thrown to the wolves!
Not to mention father sons are more about luck. Whereas academy picks are actually the best talent in their zone.to compare the Academy selections to father son is a rort, unless your geelong or the doggies you don't get a potential father son every year like the northern states will get.
Wouldn't worry too much about this, I read somewhere Stephen was nothing special at school aged footy and was a bit of a late bloomer.
Our father sons have been a bit skinny in recent times... with such a strong team in the 80's, a little dispapointing.
Hopefully our players in the 90's will start to have a few come through. Unfortunately Fev and Lappin had all girls, might be the same deal with A. Mckay?
I know that Ratts, Kouta and Campo all had a few boys.
Campo had twin boys I think. Our father sons have been a bit skinny in recent times... with such a strong team in the 80's, a little dispapointing.

Just 1 a year would be nice from here on. Don't want 4 to come through at once and us only able to get the one.
No you actually want multiple f/s selections in the same year. This is what happened with the WB when Wallas and Libba came through together, there were able to pick up one (Wallis) with their 1st rd selection (#22) and the other (Libba) with their 2nd rd selection (#41). They also had the good fortune of doing this in the GCS establishment year so they were able to get x2 VERY good players while the GCS raped the draft of talent and the rest of us got the scraps (Watson with #18, who will HOPEFULLY turn things around soon !!!!!!!!)
does he not have his old man and grandad to ask a few ins and outs??You need to remember that caliber of players who "mentored" SOS from mid-80's. SOS Jr. will not have that luxury. He will be thrown to the wolves!
Not sure if thats applicable anymore. It either has finished and you can only get the one, or its in discussions of being canned due to equalisation.
If you have 3 f/s coming through and they are all deemed first round selections, I am sure now (or coming) that you get the one and if others want the others, than its open slather.

Brad Pearce might have a few kids out there that he doesn't know about.
Nope. The previous poster was correct. Not sure if thats applicable anymore. It either has finished and you can only get the one, or its in discussions of being canned due to equalisation.

I haven't. He was my first ever favourite player. He broke my heart.I'd forgotten about Camporeale.
What a great player he was.
