Wow. Well done Priddis. Came across as a bit embarrassed but sounded like a top bloke.
This award however is...
Also, thank god that smug prick Dangerfield didn't win.

Woewoden is the happiest man alive right now.

Now it is a two way race for worst Brownlow medalist ever.

There is no way in hell that Priddis is the best player of 2013.
There is no way in hell he was the best player in 2013, Ablett won the Brownlow. 2014 on the other hand, he was clearly the best with 26 votes

Bad luck. He polled the votes. Get over it. Even if Ablett wasn't injured he should have gone anyway . That elbow vs the dogs warranted a suspension. Got off because the afl gave him a free pass because of who he is. Fyfes initial suspension IMO was a crock but the second one warranted. In any case., Priddis still polled the votes and would have finished 3rd if you give Ablett and fyfe more games/votes which is still damn good. Might not be a superstar to many but it goes to show if u work your socks off and keep chipping away you can go places.

You don't like it, suck it. The guy has his name forever etched in footballing greatness and will achieve more than 99 percent of you clowns.

I think you'll find that one G. Ablett was the best player of 2013.

Gees what a pack of bitches some of you are!

Well done Priddis, good stuff

Personally I don't like umpire awards, can't see how they are valid, but really to degenerate him like this is pretty pathetic.

Good luck to him.

No, he didn't make all Australian because he is a very ordinary player. Opposition coaches let him run free because literally all he does is win ball and panic kick it or completely turn it over. The slowest player in the AFL with kicking not up to AFL standard. It is an absolute joke he won tonight. Sounds like a great guy, but this just further proves the Brownlow is the biggest crock of s**t in AFL.

Think of Andrew Raines but slower.

ahhahah

Ling interviewing the Eagles current coach Simpson. Simmo just said "makes you wonder how he wasnt All-australian... youre on that panel arent ya Lingy?"

Woewodin, no Grant, no Carey, no Ablett, no Mitchell, an admitted drug cheat being able to keep his award...

The All-Australian selectors have a few more spots to chuck their players; Naitanui, after all, was named in a pocket, rendering even the notion of a rigid number of midfielders redundant. Considering the broader number and types of selectors, and the notion of repeated and season-long chin-scratching and contemplation, I'd probably rate that selection above the umpires favouritism that comes with the Brownlow.

Mitchell ends up with 8 votes, despite being an awesomely well-rounded footballer, someone who's amply skilled on either side, has a real footy brain, hits the contest hard and plays well every weekend. Champions miss out on votes if they're in good teams, while champions miss out on votes while getting flogged every week – there's a nice little intersection on the venn diagram where team performance buffers the player's potential votes most.

People seem more cynical to the award. The Brownlow has been tainted with questions and bemusement. The idea of winning the Brownlow seems to have sunk a little lower in the past half a decade.

Is the Brownlow, for all intents and purposes, a massive crock of s**t?

I say this as someone who has nothing against Priddis and never held the award in much esteem. And who says the Fyfe suspension was right and fair, and that even without the bans, still isn't the best player in the competition.

So...

It could be the umpires are a joke...or it could be just different people view things differently. AA selectors probably have more stats and check in depth, umpires do it on a game by game basis.

Enjoy the win, ppl can point at any award and try to make a point. He was stiff in the AA but Dangerfield didn't make AA and polled well too...
