Chris Tarrant, Paul Broderick and Justin Peckett for mine in a three-way tie.

Daniel Chick.

Chick also the worst player with 7 fingers in VFL/AFL history.

John Blakey would have to be the most unremarkable 350 game player.
That was his thing. Got the job done week in week out without any fuss or fanfare. He probably could have kept going if not for Laidley moving the older guys on when he took over. He could probably even pull on the boots today he's in such good nick.

359 games is a massive effort.

Anyway I'm going to nominate Drew Banfield as our worst 250 game player.

We have 7, and the list reads as follows:

1. Dean Cox 290
2. Glen Jakovich 276
3. Darren Glass 270
4. Guy McKenna 267
5. Drew Banfield 265
6. Peter Matera 253
7. Andrew Embley 250

Sorry Banners, but while you did win a B&F and play in two premiership sides I reckon Embley just shades you. Good luck ranking the "worst" of the other 5!

the Jim Stynes medal
every game that Hird has played in, if there was a medal to be won, he has won it except the coleman medal
Pity those medals won't do him much good now.

I think if you asked neutral supporters who they respect more out of Simon Black & James Hird the answer would be at least 90% in Black's favor.
On field accomplishments mean little when you're an extroadinarily ordinary human being.

As for the OP's question Chris Newman gets my vote. He did at least manage to earn one record though, however dubious.

Green was actually a reasonably good player - kicked 350 goals in his 254 games

Was just purely a woeful captain at an abysmal time at the Dees, which is all people remember
