When Steve Smith retires there could well be a dozen pairs of gloves from his final innings.

He changed gloves in the first innings after three overs in which he faced six balls iirc

He gave Khawaja out with umpire's call hitting in line and just clipping off stump and another Australian out on a marginal umpire call in the 1st innings but missed 2 Australian LBW.....go figure whether he was bias or not.

He gave Khawaja not out caught behind when he gloved it. Take off the hat.

A good comeback win in the end, but again, I hope this doesn't inspire complacency in selection and tactics because in the last two Tests PAK pushed us further than any of us expected them too. IMO they were some crappy fielding and a batting collapse away from stealing a win.

to be fair Harris probably wouldn't have done much worse than Warner in England.

Warners record on England decks is utterly woeful with an AVG of 25.

Nah Jim you have to face facts...he was a liability in England and was a big factor in us not winning a series there for over 10 years

Past precedent doesn't suggest that Harris or Bancroft would have fared much better.

The alternative was to shove Green there, but that would have been unthinkable, and rightly so given the stakes.

I mean, Pakistan played well, just because a few spuds on here don’t rate them doesn’t make it true. Pakistan played well, Australia still won. Good cricket.
