You must admit we need depth? Fletchers old and Steinberg is far from proven. Certainly cant get too many otherwise it limits the potential improvement for guys like steinberg and gregory.

Is Gwilt really that far off Gibson as a player alone? For me I havnt seen heaps of gwilt but enough. He like Gibson can get toiled up by the monsters, however as a friend 3rd tall defender he has something there still of worth. It also might help with some more quality further up the field. He also uses the ball pretty well, this year is by no.means a reflection of his ability. He lost confidence and hat came from the coach. In a better side he can still be serviceable for 2 years IMO and is of zero cost.

Leunberger is overrated and injury prone - Rather that we back in T-Bell.

As good as IMO. But that has gone a little too far. His best is still ahead of him. His injuries are overrated had played 20+ games in 3 out of the last 4 years before this including 2 full 22 games.

If he gets 2-3 years of consistency from here he will be reaching cox's ability

Luenberger is over-rated,lacks flexibility and the quality of his hits to advantage are so-so - I'd prefer Ryder every day of the week.

I agree we are 1-2 middys short but I dont think it has to be mature aged, we need some speed and excitement.

Ryder is irreplaceable.
A ruckman who regularly taps to advantage then is an extra mid when the ball hits the ground.
Incredibly agile around the ground.
Quick on the lead up forward, as well as being a great contested mark. Deadly shot for goal.
Never injured.

You can build a team around a player like that.

If he wants to leave, we'll get screwed.

Hes heavily under rated by reading this thread or maybe thats just how the trade period works at other club forums that dont involve their players. Sure as hell if we picked him up it would be a different story.

Leunberger is a better pure ruckman. More in your sandilands or D.Cox mould but very good around that ground like Cox. Hes moving into his peak period now and is at his ultimate lowest price he will ever be. Whereas Ryder is at his highest price and if he is considering a move we should let him go for a Top 4 pick (in a period where we have been hit hard by picks, gaining Z.Merrett and genuine gun tall or mid here would mean we avoid that patch of disaster). Ryder is a better player at the moment as he had an outstanding year (Shouldve been in the 40 man squad and probably the22 man team). As you said he offers far more forward but less in the middle as a ruck.

Ultimately we need to turn Bellchambers into a Leunberger who can become that solid/strong number one ruck which IMO he can become. Play Ryder more forward with Carlisle and Joe Daniher with smalls like Chapman, Winderlich next year and a resting midfielder (because we now have an abundance probably someone with leadup material. Goddards that man, however Z.Merrett can also play a role to a degree like this, still think Melksham can offer something here.

Can we get this straight we are not a midfielder short.

Goddard, Watson, Stanton, Zaharakis, Heppell, Myers, Melksham, Howlett, Z.Merrett, Gleeson, J.Merrett, Hocking the list goes on. We have no depth forward or back in the tall department and need a ruck or two.

Melksham cant get a game onball when he was brilliant for us not long ago coming 3rd in the B&F when we dominant on the ladder for most of the year.

Howlett is seeking more opportunities because he cant get into that onball division consistently enough.

We just need all those names to click at the same time.

Watson brownlow year, Goddard first half 2014, Zaharakis last half 2014, Stanton 2012, Heppell this year, Howlett at his best early 2013, Melksham when 3rd in our B&F, Hocking this year, maybe 2011-2012.

Myers is improving at the rate of knots.

Z.Merretts only gonna get better, looks a star as did Gleeson show early this year. J.merrett showed signs early this year aswell as a winger.

Fine, but Pears and Gregory aren't to be relied upon and one of Hurley or Carlisle plays forward. So, again, we're one injury away from playing Steinberg or no one depending on who the coaches prefer. I'm not sure how we can possibly be satisfied with our KPD stocks.
