Simpson (2016) is integral to the team's spirit.
Henderson (2015), Everitt (2015 and option for 2016) and Jamison (2017) are integral to the team's structure. I'll go out on a limb here and say Casboult (2016) has value and possible upside as a second ruck.
Carrazzo (2015) and Judd (2015) are going to retire anyway.
Armfield (2015), Wood (2016) , Ellard (2015), Rowe (2016), White (2015?), Tuohy (2016) and Curnow (2015) have little to no currency.
Murphy (2018) , Thomas (2017) and Kreuzer's (FA 2015) value is rock bottom. Stupid to buy high and sell low.
That leaves Walker (2017), Gibbs (2019) and Warnock (2015) as players we could trade for a decent return (on what we paid for them vs their output so far).
Controversially, I'd add Yarran (2016) to the mix, but only if another team was willing to pay hard for him. We're not Hawthorn. We won't attract free agents who are chasing success. To get draft picks and good juniors, we have to make some sacrifices. Otherwise, we can just hover in perpetual bottom 10 mediocrity and complete our fall from the Big 4.
Yep, you need to go hard if you're going to going to go through with a full rebuild. Will we bite the bullet?
We've got a lot of players locked in, see above re: contract status - we'll have spots on the roster opening up with the likes of Army, Ellard, Curnow, White (?), Carrazzo, Judd, Warnock, Watson, Holman, Giles coming out of contract and our interest in renewing TBC. That's 10 players right there without out of contract or FA in Hendo or Kreuzer.
